Abstract Text:
The objective of this study was comparison of fixed structures in different models for evaluation of genetic parameters for number of born alive (NBA) in pigs. The criterion of model validation was standard error of predictability (MSEP). In six models were differently treated parity, weaning to conception period and age at farrowing. The most complex model performed the lowest MSEP, enabling of estimated heritability for NBA of 0.0834±0.0211.
